Overview
In the fall of 2015, four educators began a journey to find their Risk Taking Opportunity, or RTO. |
As a part of the College Station ISD Teacher Leader Academy, an initiative that trains and challenges teachers to become leaders on their campuses and in their district, we undertook an endeavor to challenge the teachers of CSHS in the arena of peer coaching. Initially led in this challenge by then principal Mike Martindale, we first set out to incorporate technology, in the form of the SWIVL, into the coaching process

The process of peer coaching is a powerful tool in the continuing education of the teachers of College Station High School, and College Station ISD. We are made better by our collegial conversations, our connectedness in and out of the classroom, and a dedication to taking risks for the sake of student growth and development. Where does our peer coaching experiment go from here? It goes wherever the experiences of one teacher can benefit the impact of their colleagues.
